More than just a cafe…

Not only do you get great food and great value at the Cafe on the Corner, you also help us to do great things and help local people with “Autism” which is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people. It also affects how they make sense of the world around them.

The cafe was created and is run by Autism Ventures, a registered charity creating opportunities for adults with autism to gain work experience and take control of their lives. With no shareholders to pay, all profits are reinvested in the cafe.

Art lovers can also visit the Gallery on the Corner, which supports artists who have autism, a physical disability or a mental health condition. The Gallery was the first social firm developed by Autism Ventures. It can be found at:

34 Northumberland Street
Edinburgh
EH3 6LS

We also run The Hermitage Scotland, where we have a nine hole golf course, a horticulture project, a cafe and clubhouse.
